Where To Download Music

downloading other people'scontent from youtube can be a pretty hairy situationboth ethically and legally. today, let's talkabout the situations in which you can legallydownload videos from youtube. hey guys, my nameis tim schmoyer

Where To Download Music

Where To Download Music, and welcome to videocreators, the channel that is all about helping youguys grow your youtube body so you can spread a messagethat reaches people and changes their lives.

and sometimes inthe process of doing that, making your own content, you see a clip on youtube you really want to use inone of your own videos, and you really want to download. or maybe you justwant to download it so you can watch itoffline whether you're on the bus or the gymor something like that. when can you do this? well, first of all, let's goto youtube's terms of service.

and there's two partsin there that say this. section 4c-- you agreeto not access content through any technology or meansother than the video playback pages of the service itself, the embeddable player or other explicitlyauthorized means that youtube may designate. and then downscrollingto section 5b. content is providedto you as is. you may access content for yourinformation and personal use

solely as intended throughthe provided functionality of the service and as permittedunder these terms of service. you shall notdownload any content unless you see adownload or similar link displayed by youtube on theservice for that content. no, according to youtube'sterms of service, you may not download any othercontent from the platform really for any use whatsoever. now doing so though, doesn't make it illegal,

it just means thatgoogle has the right to terminate your accountif they catch you doing it and feel like that'snecessary to do. however, it is illegal forreasons bigger than google really. it's because you are downloadingsomeone else's copyrighted content without a licenseto use that content in an explicit way. the creator owns that contentand gives a license to youtube

to host and distributethat content. but that does not mean thatthe creator has given you a license to do the same. now in the u.s. there aresituations that are clearly fair use, usage ofother people's content, and under those situations, that might be an exception. you can have and use in thatcontent without the original creator' permission. but generally speakingif that's not the case,

then you arestealing the content. we're not going to getinto internet piracy here in this video. but i think we can allgenerally agree as creators, that it hurts creatorsand the platform as a whole when people do this. there is one situation whereany of us though, can absolutely legally download videosand watch them offline. say for example, you're on the bus

and you don't wantto use all your data. you don't want toburn through all that and pay for your mobiledevice or maybe you're going to be out ofcell phone service, maybe on the subway, the cityor going for an airplane ride. you want to catch up onall your subscriptions and you don't want to paythe really high wi-fi fee on that airplane to do that. well, if you are asubscriber of youtube red,

then yes, you candownload all those videos you want inside the youtube app. you push the download buttonthat the terms of service talks about, and you canwatch all of those videos off your mobile device. and it's great because whenyou do reconnect the wi-fi, all your watch time, all your viewswould sync to youtube server. and the creatorscount, their channel, they get credit for youwatching their video still.

as a subscriber toyoutube red myself, i love that featureinside the app. there's a whole bunchof other features that come with youtube red, also, if you're not already a subscriber. i'm not sponsored, affiliated, in any way, i just really love the service. not seeing any ads on youtubewhatsoever, having full access to google, music play, which is basically

music play music, which isbasically their spotify music library. it's just awesome. i love it. and i also love that as ayoutube red subscriber, when i watch other people'svideos on youtube, those creators are earning moremoney from me as a youtube red subscriber, than theywould be earning just from passive,ad-supported viewers.

so youtube red is greatall the way around. it wasn't supposed to be acommercial about anything, but that's how you can legallydownload videos and not have any problems with the post. posts are super easyand built in to the app. now i am not a lawyer, butthese are the general principles that i found tomake sense to me. so i'd love to hear what youguys think in the comments below about downloading videos.

when do you do it? when do you not do it? and what would you recommendabout youtube red as a whole? and if this is yourfirst time here, i'd love to have you subscribe. we're all about helping youguys grow your youtube audiences and your channels soyou can reach people, spread your messageand impact their lives. thanks for hangingout, subscribe and i

will see you guysagain next thursday for another youtube tip. see you then. bye.
